Serendipity Club
Group Leader: Rosemary Tough rosemary.tough@wanadoo.fr
Location: Various
Frequency: Last Friday of each month
As you may know, it has been decided that the Women's Group should cease to exist and a new group formed to include all interested members, male or female. After seeking suggestions for a name for the new group, it has been decided to call it the 'Serendipity Club'. The Club will normally meet on the last Friday of the month, with the exception of December and July / August.
As the title suggests, each month will be something unexpected and may just be a meeting in the afternoon in the ACIP room with a speaker or demonstration. It might entail a drive to a place of interest for part of a day, for which a box or picnic lunch could be arranged.
Some of the future events include a talk by a retired policeman on some of the more amusing events in his career, or a demonstration on watercolour painting with hands on experience; perhaps a coach trip at the end of April or a visit to the Napoleon Museum. I would welcome any suggestions.
Please let me know if you would be interested in joining this group. I will then be able to add your email address to my list of contacts and notify you about the monthly activities.
