This activity is suitable for people of any age, and almost any state of health. One does not have to be very fit, strong or necessarily supple to benefit.
Each movement is reached in planned stages; most gradually work from first stage towards a more advanced stage; each person working to extend their own limitations. An elderly or stiff jointed person may derive great personal benefit from work during the early stages, compared to more supple persons who find the movements at that stage effortless.
