Welcome

A warm welcome to people of all nationalities.

Our full title is ‘Association Culturelle Internationale du Périgord’ (ACIP) and our aim is to help people of all nationalities living (or arriving) in the Périgord to integrate into the local French way of life. We encourage participation in local activities, offer members mutual support and aim to provide cultural and social opportunities.

ACIP came into being in 2003 to formalise a group of British, Dutch and French friends and acquaintances who were getting together to provide mutual support. As membership increased, the need for organisation grew and so an official Association (recognised by the French authorities) was formed with the aim of creating a multi-national support group in the Périgord.

ACIP currently has over 300 members, representing many different nationalities, a good number of whom give freely of their time and energy to run the various activities, serve on the committee and generally assist at events and functions. Browse this website to see what is on offer for just a small annual membership fee (click here to see How to Join).
